set_solver

set_solver(series): activates a different solver to calculate the modes in a slab. It will first construct an estimate of the modes based on a plane wave expansion. These estimates will subsequently be refined using the full dispersion relation. This is especially useful for lossy structures. The number of plane waves used can be set through set_mode_surplus(). See section set_mode_surplus.
